Relacje między ludźmi a zwierzętami w dawnych społeczeństwach

Działalność naukowa:

Chiori Kitagawa jest archeozoologiem, która bada relacje między ludźmi a zwierzętami, analizując szczątki zwierząt, zwłaszcza ze starożytnego Egiptu. Od 2008 roku współpracuje z The Asyut Project, międzynarodową inicjatywą badań archeologicznych w Asyut w środkowym Egipcie. Poza Egiptem jej badania obejmują wiele obszarów geograficznych, w tym Japonię, Turcję, Niemcy i Sudan. Oprócz specjalizacji w makroskopowej analizie szczątków zwierząt, współpracuje ze specjalistami zajmującymi się badaniami biomolekularnymi w zakresie mikroanaliz szczątków zwierzęcych.
